Local Honey
Delicious honey in glass jars is available! You can find it on Saturdays when I am at a market event (see calendar), at Leon Thomas Treasures in Kinston, or if you find yourself on Wolf LN in need of a jar, feel free to pull into the drive and beep.
At the market or at Above the Briery, the price is $12 per. If you return a glass jar at the same time, the cost is $11.
Our honey is minimally processed. It passes through a filter to remove bits of wax as a part of the extraction, and that is it. It is raw and retains its pollen, antioxidants, and enzymes.
The bee biz is now a partnership with Dennis Hatcher of Kinston.
before native plants, honey
Above the Briery started as an outlet for raw, local, wildflower honey. The hives are in Kinston, and the bees have access to a wide range of nectar and pollen. After all, bees go where bees go.
